PROJECTS WE FUND

The Krishna and Sandra Rao Foundation has been at the forefront of helping to fund a range of ‘below the radar’ projects that work tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate victims of abuse. The projects we fund provide love, shelter, treatment and care for children who have suffered sexual exploitation. In addition, our partners offer life-skills, communication skills, self-defense training and counseling to the survivors, and ensure that they have and maintain robust health.

Anti-Child Trafficking

The global market of child trafficking is valued at $12 billion a year with an estimated 2 million children trafficked each year. Our Foundation has funded 9 anti-child trafficking projects which rescue & rehabilitate young victims.

Education & Skill Training

For an emerging country like India, development of underprivileged children holds the key to the progress of the nation. Through our Foundation we fund projects that offer entrepreneurial skills to victims of sex trafficking.

Human Rights

India faces dire social inequities and human rights challenges. We are turning the tide in favour of justice by addressing inequalities arising from the ever increasing movement of people within and across borders.
